| I really like the Continental. They are just quite pricey. For what it is worth, I haven't heard of any major issues with them. | |||||

| I currently have a 2009 Lincoln MKS. I am broken hearted that 2020 is the last year. I want to buy the new Continental but, need an opinion on reliability and type of engine. My father was a master mechanic and died young. I lost the one person to give me advice. Thanks in advance. I’m open to the MKZ as well. Just do not like that the MKZ is assembled in Mexico. Welcome to Tennessee. I’m your neighbor. | |||||

| @g-t The K9K reliability depends on if the fuel system is a Continental, Siemens or a Delphi made system. Both Continental and Siemens (same system, different name. Made from 2013-on) are very dependable although not cheap to fix and require programming (no need for a dealer level tool) if something does go wrong. - The one I had was this version of the Meganè it was called “Meganè Fluence facelift” | |||||
| Looking to buy 73 Lincoln Mark 4 from dealer | 21Relevance | 2 years ago | Dale9994 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I am interested in making an hour long drive to a dealer to see a 73 Lincoln Mark 4 which they have advertised as having about 22100 miles. The advert says '72, but the VIN and photo of the out-of-state title states that it is a '73 with in excess of 100,000 miles "exceeds mechanical limitation". VIN 3Y89A924557. While I am not too concerned about the odometer, I would like to use this as a bargaining tool for the final price. Basically, for this particular model and year, does anything stand out to you which may be a problem area on this car? The 460 V8 should be durable if cared for. I dont know whether this model has any known weaknesses. The price listed on the web page is about $6500. Please respond by email if you can. [personal contact information redacted] | |||||
| Which tires should I buy | 21Relevance | 3 years ago | gmanesq | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| My RX has 12,000 miles and will need new tires in a few months. I am running OE Michelin Premier LTX. As per tire rack, the best rated tires for this car are Pirelli Scorpian AS Plus 3, Michelin Cross Climate 2 and Continental Cross Contact LX25. They say the Michelin are the loudest and Pirelli are quietest and smoothest. Is there an issue that Pirelli’s are made in Mexico? I know Scotty always is against cars made in Mexico. The Michelin’s are made in Canada and the Continental are made in the US. I am in NJ, so being able to drive in snow is a crit ... | |||||

| ... issues we come to expect, can have issues like carb ice sneak up on you, and in 80 years traditional aircraft engines have had very little changes in design, innovation, materials or engineering. I far as I can see the traditional airplane piston manufactures in the USA are dinosaurs and do VERY LITTLE RND to improve their products. They are just fat cats sitting on their butts and ancient technology. They have not made any significant advances in close to a century. They have a governmental certification ,they think, that makes them better. I DONT THINK ... | |||||

| From personal experience: Bridgestone QuietTrack and Continental DWS06. I drive in snow, rain and dry. Both work great. Continental is probably better, more sporty,… it’s W rated, but it is considerably shorter lasting. Bridgestone is H rated, … it’s a lot quieter and much longer lasting. Fwiw F.S. | |||||
