| Answer to: Ford Fusion 2007 diesel opinions | 25Relevance | 5 years ago | Dan | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Welp, the Euro Ford fusion has nothing to do with the US Ford fusion. The Euro Ford fusion's 1.4L DURATORQ engine was reasonably solid, but primitive (70 horsepower, 160NM, rubber timing belts, only 8 valves and SOCH) and that's a good thing. From what I'm seeing online, that engine had a bad fuel system - it's fuel system tends to have a lot of issues (like all small Ford diesels do, for some reason even on new ones - the PSA variants' of Ford's engine's fuel systems are solid and the Ford ones cause the majority of the issues) So that's a risk. But if y ... | |||||

| MY FORD fusion IS SMOKING, STALLING AND ROUGH IDLING...WHAT IS THE ISSUE? Greetings Scotty! Much respect to you: great content! Always Informative. I have questions regarding my 2013 Ford fusion Titanium and a Smoking Exhaust issue. So I did an oil change on my car last Saturday; went to handle business...finished my business and got back on the road...As I was driving down the street, my car started lightly vibrating; I then pulled off the street when safe and shuttle car off and waited a couple of minutes thinking that maybe the shaking would stop( now, ... | |||||
| I'm considering buying a 2013 Ford Fusion SE, but have a few concerns. | 25Relevance | 6 years ago | 13thMurder | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| ... I now live in an apartment where working on cars is strictly prohibited, I need to find something that's going to be well within my price range of about 13k CAD out the door that will be reliable enough that it won't need any major maintenance done until a few years later when I hopefully move somewhere with a garage so I can do it myself. I'm looking at getting a 2013 Ford fusion SE. I have a few concerns, that I'm not entirely sure what to make of: There seem to be a large number of recalls on this year model, however, the Carfax report doesn't ad ... | |||||

| The 2018 year had transmission problems for the Camry look for a 2017 or 2019 and for the fusion only get the 2.5 engine the ecoboost ones are not that good. Go used Camry over fusion though. | |||||

| One thing I think is interesting is the recent Camrys have had a lot more problems than the fusions according to CarComplaints. Including 6 Recalls on the Camry vs 1 on the fusion (Camrys mass recalled for Fuel pump, Fuel lines, minorly recalled for Pistons, Brakes) (Fusion recalled for Steering bolt getting loose) Added to the reports of major electrical problems and transmission issues, It seems to not necessarily be an easy decision to dismiss it as reliable because of the past record. | |||||

| How reliable is this transmission? | 24Relevance | 6 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| ... video about the Ford 500, he said that the 6 speed was total garbage he had customers where the transmission went out at like 20 000 miles. Let me remind you that this is an AISIN transmission. How come? Is it about the application in every single make model or is the same transmission a transmission? The Ford fusion from 2006-2012 has this but he put the fusion as one of his top 5 best cars to buy, which I assume means that he doesn't intend the transmission to go out a lot. Volvo also uses it but I know that the Volvo AISIN 6 speeds are reliable Scotty di ... | |||||

| Hey scotty I have a 2010 Ford fusion sel v6 3.0 with 72000 miles on it. I bought the car in january with 58000 miles on it i had a little bit of suspension work new springs etc. and new rear breaks put on it other than that it’s been bullet proof. About a month or 2 after i bought the car it started shifting weird into first and second gear. changed the ATF and the first gear problem went away but it still shifts hard into second gear and shakes the car when I accelerate hard but it’s only second gear. first gear and 3-6 all shift smooth as butter. It also s ... | |||||
| Answer to: Ford Fusion Sport 2010, 55k mi, $8k - Good buy? | 21Relevance | 5 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| None of those are good options. The fusion is overpriced by a lot and the 3.5 V6 has a bad design where it costs thousands of dollars to replace the water pump. Also, no way would I buy any car which has 3 accidents on it. The 2007 Camry is the worst year of the Camry you can buy, with an engine design defect that causes oil burning and other cosmetic problems. It also is way overpriced. The Mazda is also overpriced and not the best vehicle with a Ford engine and transmission. Its basically similar to the fusion, with a somewhat weak transmission and quest ... | |||||
| Answer to: Cars to buy as a recent grad | 20Relevance | 6 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| It depends on the type and price. In the 5-8k range a Midsize car I could reccomend is the Ford fusion specifically the 2010-2012. Scotty's used cars to buy are the- Honda Civic (I would say the best are 2007-2011 especilly in your price range) Toyota Corolla (Low miles 2006-2008 Would be your best bet but 2012 is what he put though it will have more miles and is cheaper on the interior) 2012 Ford fusion 2011 Camry (Again, this is cheaper made than the earlier 2006 and before camries and would be too expensive for a good one so consider a 2005-2006 in go ... | |||||

The car has had the clutch transmission shutter worked on 2 times. Clutches replaced, etc. Still, I hear a "bearing noise". Almost convinced its a bearing or CV Axle noise. no Clicking. a "bearing Noise". I also have a newer Ford fusion with 3000 miles on it. Michelin X Energy tires. A very quiet car. I had a 1.6L EcoBoost in a 2013 fusion, it got great gas mileage on the highway but it really lacked power, granted the fusion is much bigger than the Focus-based Escape. After driving his 2.0, I wanted that motor in my fusion. | |||||

| Hey Scotty, I have a 2017 Ford fusion with the 2.5l engine, FWD, with 82,000 miles. I noticed my transmission was shifting harsh and sometimes slipping gears especially during the colder months. I just had the transmission fluid changed, Dexron VI, and the fluid was black and did not appear to have any metal shavings in it. My trusted mechanic said there is most likely no long term damage to the transmission. Should I take my car to a transmission shop to look it over? Would you recommend I look for another car since transmission repairs can be costly? | |||||

| Okay, I’m having a kid. Hurray the species continues. And the missus has declared we need an SUV. I planned on driving my 2006 Ford fusion with its 224,000 miles right up until the universe stopped expanding and everything on earth ceased to exist. She has other plans and at the end of the day, why argue with the wife. Especially since she’s buying the SUV. So, the fusion and I will be forever. Now I’m going to delve into stereotypes here so don’t get offended it just is what it is. If you see a person with a pick up truck jacked 10 feet in the air you mak ... | |||||
