| Hello Scotty, My dad has a 2016 Toyota Tundra Limited with about 60k miles, a six-inch lift, and an automatic transmission. He keeps his trucks for about 5 years or 60k miles. He is thinking of getting a new Ford Raptor. kelly blue book and many other sources that I've seen give it between a 4.2-4.8 reliability rating, but you are the master. SHould he buy it and keep it for 5 years or not? Thanks! | |||||
| Answer to: 2005 Saturn Ion reliability???? | 25Relevance | 6 years ago | GlennB | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I can't answer your question about the seals; however, I really like Saturn Ions. I have worked on a 2005 and two 2007s. I find them to be fairly simple to work on thus far. . . with the aid of a handy Haynes manual, Youtube and the internet - including sites like this. You might want to assess the overall condition of the car. Then look it up on kelly blue book [KBB.com] for an idea of a 'reasonable' price. Good luck. | |||||

Is there a certain amount I need to put down for the used 2017 honda civic im looking at ? Hope to hear back thanks ! You’re videos are so helpful ! | |||||

| ... Making sure the person has paperwork (good documentation) gives you a level of security. Having that pre purchase inspection by an independent mechanic you know and trust will keep you from getting one that you do not want to be in. Do a check on kelly blue book and NADA to get a general idea on price. If the pre purchase inspection looks good and you are ready to buy write down the things they said it might need or minor flaws that you can use to negotiate a better price. | Answer to: Got a blue driver for Christmas - what data for preventative maintenance? | 25Relevance | 3 years ago | Hixster | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| It's important to note that a CEL doesn't have to come on for you to have a stored code. Just because something hasn't triggered a CEL doesn't mean it hasn't triggered a code. Any scan tool is only as good the person interpreting the data. The blue Driver is a good basic scan tool and it's not hard to learn how to use it properly. Since you're new to the blue Driver I would suggest doing a full system scan on each vehicle first. After you've scanned you can check each vehicles live data (another function of the scanner) This is where you can find the real time data for fuel trims, MAF, O2 sensors, etc as the car is running. The 20% you've referring to.. that typically refers specifically to fuel trims. The blue Driver is an interface with your cars computers. It will never predict what maintenance you should do, it can help you determine what needs to be addressed. | |||||

| Those were well built cars and when taken care of can log several 100k miles. The V6 has a timing belt but its not an interference engine so if it did break you don't lose the engine. Kelley blue book has the value around $3k.. their values are reportedly derived from recent retail sales. Everything depends on how well it was maintained and its current condition, which should be determined by a good independent mechanic's inspection. | |||||
| Answer to: Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac XT5? | 23Relevance | 2 years ago | Hixster | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| One source for pricing would be Kelley blue book . The site's prices tend to be inflated but it can give you a general idea of what a particular vehicle might be worth in your area. Cadillac is a GM product, when mentioning GM the word 'quality' won't be the first thing you'll think. it's not a terrible car, it's just a new gm won't last as long as a Toyota or Honda . . | |||||
