| Buying Used Ford Fusion after the year 2012? | 19Relevance | 6 years ago | NateCT | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey, what do you think of a 2013 Ford fusion with all wheel drive also how much should i spend on one? Ive bought two cars since I've turned 17 I'm 23 now, both only lasted me a week due to me being young and inexperienced. So I need help! I have saved up about 10grand for a vehicle this time last time I only spent about 2 grand on a 2002 Mitsubishi lancer from a horrible dealer. This time I've been looking for a AWD car or SUV because I live in Canada so plenty of snow and bad weather. I've been looking at a 2013 Ford fusion that also has awd but not sure i ... | |||||
| RE: 2010 Infiniti M35 transmission fix fill plug | 18Relevance | 3 years ago | avalon04 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| @samspade83 Sorry that did apply to your particular car. Did you also read the description that accompanied the videos? It states: "The engine in your 2008 Infiniti M35 should be running when you perform a transmission fluid level check, otherwise it will be inaccurate. The video above shows where the transmission fluid dipstick or the transmission fluid check plug is located in your M35 and how to check the transmission fluid level. Your M35 will have either a transmission dipstick or a check or fill plug to perform a transmission fluid check. The transmission dipstick will typically be in the engine bay or on top or even the side of your M35 transmission. The transmission check plug will typically be on the bottom or the side of the transmission and may also be next to the axle. If the transmission fluid level in your M35 is low, you need to add transmission fluid through the dipstick tube or the check plug hole. When adding transmission fluid to your M35, be sure to add it slowly as it will fill up quickly and is difficult to remove excess fluid if you overfill. If you are having problems with the transmission in your M35, such as clunky shifting or hesitation, check the fluid level first - it is amazing how many drivers pay thousands of dollars for transmission work when a half quart of transmission fluid would have fixed the problem." Unfortunately they did not provide a video or photo for the fill plug location on the transmission housing. But it's there somewhere. You could try going to the Infinity dealership and ask the person at the parts department counter where the check/fill hole is located. They have all the diagrams on their computer and in my experience at Toyota Dealerships, the techs at the parts counter are usually most helpful. | |||||
| 2017 Ford Fusion SE. Sealed transmission question? | 18Relevance | 3 years ago | new car | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi. I have a 2017 Ford fusion SE 1.5 L ecoboost. My transmission has no dipstick, and so it is a PITA to check the fluid level. I went on Ebay, and I found a transmission fluid dipstick for sale. The website says that it will fit my car, but it also says that the dipstick is for a 6F55 transmission. My transmission is a 6F35. I was just wondering if I could replace the filler plug in my car with this dipstick so I can check the fluid easily??? | |||||

| I bought a used 2017 Ford fusion SE from the dealer. Automatic transmission. 18,800 miles. I love this car and I want to do everything to keep it as long as possible. I was thinking about doing a transmission fluid change in the near future, because I don't know how the previous owners took care of the car. I was wondering, when it is time to change the transmission fluid, should I go for a transmission flush? | |||||

| Hello I've got a 2012 Ford fusion SEL 179k miles 3.0 V6 engine. I know that's basically end of life for a American car especially a ford, BUT I'd like to prolong the life longer if possible. The transmission kinda clunks and maybe slips too? seemgly in every gear to some degree not each gear is as bad as the others. I was hoping I could try Anti slip fix like the Lucas one or something. No codes or anything if it helps transmission was always rough, but after the battery was dead for some days after jumping it the transmission got significantly worse. Either ... | |||||

| Hi Scotty, I had been having gear slippage issues with my 2011 Ford fusion Sport (not a top year for tranny issues). So I took it to a dealer, who has told me that I blew the line, and he won't be able to tell me if the transmission is okay until he makes this repair. Other than the transmission issues, the car is pretty sound. How do I not get fleeced in this situation? | |||||

| When is the last time the transmission was serviced? Is there enough fluid? What is its condition. Products like Lucas "anti-slip" are basically snake oil. Sometimes they can help temporarily if one is at the "nothing to lose by trying" stage. You would likely be seeing other symptoms if it were a general electrical system problem but it's pretty easy to have the battery and alternator load-tested. Really the best diagnosis would come from a transmission expert using a professional-grade scan tool, if you have a good independent shop available. (Dealers and chains are to be avoided.) Although not the top complaint, transmission problems are fairly common in those cars: | |||||

| ... me on that if my memory is mistaken). However, newer generation Ford fusions used a Ford branded hybrid transmission. It’s hard to say whether it was just a rebrand of an Aisin transmission, or Ford manufacturing the Aisin transmission themselves. Or Ford making their own transmission based on the Toyota patents. Teardowns reveal the Ford and Aisin to be extremely similar in design. While Toyota held the patents, they reached an agreement with Ford for its use it in some form. As far as battery technology, I’m not so sure who Ford used. As far as overa ... | |||||
| 1990 ford f450 transmission problem | 16Relevance | 6 years ago | EbuTarik | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi I have problems with 1990 ford f450 transmission. It's a dump truck. I got transmission rebuild by Monstertransmission.com and after i received it my mechanic installed transmission .We started truck and first thing I realized was my dash board lights didn't work (used to work before)i drove truck out of the shop and it was going in reverse (that was the issue before)and forward also park was not working before. So it looked like 👍 good job.So i drove it back to my home but transmission was not shifting gears it runs up to 60-70 miles but you don't feel shifting. So i went back and mechanic "forgot " to plug some electric clip right where the shifting linkage arm is on transmission and he said that will solve the problem. So i drove back home like 10-15 minutes away and same thing happened no shifting. Last mile before I reached my house truck was running hard like its under heavy load 😫 when I parked i saw transmission fluid under the truck spilled and 1 mile long behind it 😳 🙁 First I thought it leaked out on dip stick pipe because it was not secured after mechanic put it back in transmission but everything was dry around it and under it.So I checked the pan bolts and couple of them where really easy to unscrew. Monstertransmission.com did new treads so I think that was the problem. So my questions are 1.What could be a problem that transmission is not shifting while driving but it goes fast (I forgot to mention that stop lights are not working as well)Can transmission shifting problem can be affected because electricity is not working properly?? Perhaps transmission is not getting electricity? 2.Besides the bolts 🔩 are there any other places where transmission can loose fluid like that?? 3.Is transmission damaged because i drove it while its leaking fluid?? 4. Speedometer was not connected by the mechanic (can I call him mechanic or butcher??) :silly: I have 3 years warranty on this transmission .The reason why I am asking these questions before I started contacting and complaining about rebuild of my transmission i WANTED TO MAKE SURE that it's not something wrong actually on my side. I wish it is something wrong on my side because I don't want to go with transmission issues again and I believe it would be easier to fix issues on the truck than removing it and sending it back to rebuild or staff like that. Also I don't feel comfortable giving hard time and blaming others if it is fault on my end 😕 🙃 😪 😔 I will feel embarrassed 😞 Any help 🙏 would be greatly appreciated and I will pray 🙏 ❤ for you. Thank you | |||||

| Answer to: I bought a salvage vehicle from a used car dealer and am curious what the most logical approach would be here. | 16Relevance | 2 years ago | Justin Shepherd | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| That's why you should've had a mechanic check it out, first. They're out there, before I bought my blue 2013 Ford fusion, I was interested in a black Ford fusion from the same year at another dealership that was basically a buy-here-pay-here dealership. When I saw the title had been a salvage car, I ran away from that. Even farther back, when I was shopping for my 2nd car, and my first time financing something, another buy-here-pay-here joint had a car that had at least two accidents and the dealer "forgot" to turn off the blown airbags alert. I ran awa ... | |||||
