1991 Ford Ranger 3.0 inline 6 spark plug replacement

Hello Everyone,

I'm working on my Grandfather's 1991 Ford Ranger 3.0 inline 6. I'm doing a tune up and I was replacing the spark plugs. So far, I've been able to replace 5/6 of the plugs with no issues. However, I am having great difficulty replacing the far back left spark plug. I can touch it and grab it, but I cannot get enough leverage to pull the spark plug cable off to get to the plug. In all of Ford's genius, they put it right next to the AC system.

Any recommendations on how to get this off? I've looked up tons of YouTube videos and cannot find a video on how to get to this spark plug out. Any help would be appreciated.

The 3.0L isn't a straight-6. It's a Vulcan V6, per Wikipedia and my own Ranger, which is a 1999, equipped with the same 3.0L engine.

Wiggle the spark plug cable off, slowly twisting the cable side-to-side probably a half turn or so one way, then back the other way and maintain a slight upward pressure on the cable. It will eventually come off. It's had years and years of hot and cold cycles from the engine running to "bake" the cable into the plug.
