I have a 98 Ford F-150. At start it just clicks. I turn the ignition over and over and it starts. New battery and starter have been installed. What could it be? Thanks
It could also be the starter relay. I replaced one on my 2011 Crown Vic recently with the same symptoms. I'm not sure if the 98' has the plug in relay in the box or the old bolt on one on the fender.
Check all the wiring, look for that blue death creeping into the connectors. That & starters tend to be hit & miss these days.
I had to rebuild the column & shift assembly after doing all of that. There are bushings & holddowns on the bar connected to the selector in the column, as wear items they can throw things out of whack if not replaced. The bushing are only a couple bucks.
If the starter is known to be good but just clicks it is usually because it is not receiving enough current to crank the engine. Test the new battery to make sure it's OK, and check battery cables for corrosion. Probably not a bad idea to do a voltage drop test on the battery cables given the age of the truck.

Ignition switch?
I just installed an ignition switch and new key lock. Still no firing. Going to replace the starter today. Got a warranty
You never mentioned that at first.
