2000 Honda Cr-v: front wheel wobble! VSA not working! 4wd not engaging

Hi Scotty,

I know you are a big fan of Cr-Vs and I could really use your help. Recently bought a 2006 Cr-V Lx with 140k miles on it in Brooklyn. Wish I would have watched your channel before i purchased, because the owner was not transparent with me. Now I'm paying the price (literally). Among its issues are:

1. a front wheel wobble upon accelerating, mostly apparent from 1k-3k rpm. Local mechanic thinks this could be solved by replacing rear differential mount and bushings.

2. VSA malfunction warning light on dash. Not sure of the cause. Definitely feeling a front end slip at higher speeds.

3. the part-time 4wd is not activating. I know this because I took it up a very steep hill in western Massachusetts with a former rally car driver. Got stuck in the mud.

I read in a Cr-V owners forum that a guy who had similar problems as my car was able to solve the issue by replacing the universal joint on the prop shaft.

I really want to keep this car and am frustrated that I can't figure out what's wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Cody
