Heya guys,
I found a 2005 Avensis 1.6vvti with 144k miles for sale closeby. It is a European Market car, hence the small engine.
My question is, is that engine a good choice for this car? Would it be too slow, are there any reports of it burning oil, and is there something I should look for in the car? Any known trifles for this particular year model?
I need a good, solid, reliable car, it doesn't need to be fast.

Well like most Toyota's are very reliable as long as taking care of. But it's almost 20 years old so I have a mechanic check it out first
