Hey Scotty, I have a 2007 Ford Ranger Sport (3.0L V6 and RWD) with 176k miles on it, when driving at random times whether I'm going straight or turning I'll hear a thudding sound that will come and go with no warning, when this said noise is happening and I try to come to a stop the brake pedal pulsates (not fast but slow) and the vehicle will act like what happens when you don't push in the clutch on a standard but my ranger is an automatic not a standard, front brakes aren't warped and the pads and rotors are new the brake fluid is also new, new rear drum brakes what could cause this? Thank you for your time and help of this community

You said the rear drum brakes are new.  Who did the work?  This kind of thing happens sometimes when the lead shoe and following shoe are put in the reverse position.  I would pull a drum and take a look to see if the job was done right.

My friend's Uncle who is a mechanic and owns a shop but one of his technicians did it and not him so the possibility of error is more likely considering his technicians didn't catch things in the past but he always did, Thank you I will check this tomorrow and if I do see that they were mistakenly reversed I will take it back to the shop and have them fix it
