I have a 2017 honda accord hybrid with a cvt and 180,000 miles on it, and i've never replaced the transmission fluid on it. I recently heard you should replace the fluid in a cvt every 30 to 60 thousands miles, should i replace the fluid immediately or are cvts like automatics where if you dont replace if for 100k miles its better to leave it?

I am still waiting  for Scotty or someone knowledgeable to answer?

@dominic Sorry you don't like the answer, but we have been asked "should I change my transmission fluid" approximately a quadrillion times on this site. That's why details have been placed in the FAQ for various types of transmissions. The "useless link to Mickey Mouse" is simply part of my signature. (Perhaps if you are an internet newbie you are not familiar with the custom.) With over 54,000 registered users on this site and over 62,000 topics posted Scotty cannot answer all of them personally. If you had looked further at the actual text you would have found that "FAQ" in my response is a hyperlink that will take you directly there.

If you had since new, or if you just bought it, I'd change the fluid, filter. I'd also use Honda's fluid (even though it's not a traditional auto).
