Hi everyone ! I have seen almost every Scotty's videos in recent three years and i really enjoy them.In March 2019 i got a brand new Toyota corolla le cvt. Being a delivery guy i decided to go for a brand new corolla for being trouble free. The car has 30 thousand miles on it right now. Already went through 3 alignments, new tires, but always shaking tires noise and shaking steering wheel on the highway speed. Noisy brakes (rotors adjusted once by the dealer).Driver seat moves and click, cvt jerks when downshifting after stop and go trafic driving in hot summer weather. BUT THE MOST CONCERNING THING IS : when i fill the tank full with gasoline every time i start or stop the car, a liquid shaking noise kind of resound comes from the gas tank.As soon as the gasoline level drops with 1/4 so 3/4 remaining inside the tank, the shaking noise goes away. " Checked" (they say like this we checked) several times by the dealership, and after having a recall for fuel pump the car is the same, they say that they can hear nothing wrong. Sometimes i doubt for a loose or defektous gas float inside the tank. It can be dangerous too. PLEASE any opinion about what the heck it can be. This is my big question too. Suffering like this with a brand new car its not normal. I hope i resolve because the car still has 6 thousand miles left before the warranty expires. Wish all the best to everyone specially to Scotty, and a Happy New Year !
you need to find another dealer.
I would call the Toyota HQ and report all the things you mentioned here and ask for a full repair/refund in another dealer. The way that this dealer handles the stuff is not acceptable at all.
Thanks I'll try.
You should pinpoint the noise first, I assume they changed the fuel pump, so I don't think the fuel pump assembly is loose. I would take the car to an independent mechanic shop to diagnose it. Regarding the issues you got with the shaking, find a good alignment shop.
Hi everyone. Thanks in advance for your answer. The noise is from the beginning when i just got the car. 99 % the noise comes from the gasoline tank, i guess a defective tank or defective or loose float, but the weirdest thing is that, it goes away when the gas level drops a bit. About costumers concern they just don't care about, and the quality of the job is awful. Going for oil change and overfilled the engine with oil three times. Loosing wheel nuts several times after tire rotation, what else.....very very disappointed.
