2020 Honda Fit Paint Bumps?

Hey there. I have a 2020 Honda Fit that is developing these weird small bumps underneath the paint. They weren’t there when I bought the car and are starting to appear in random spots. I have one on the roof and a few along the sides. I regularly  wash, wax, polish, and even ceramic coat my car. Do I need to be worried about these bumps other then the fact that they look bad? Will my paint start to peel? Should I take it to the dealer and have them look at it since it’s still under warranty? Thank you.

Take it to the dealer because you are under warranty.

Bizarre, looks like a pimple. The dealer should fix that under warranty. However, the quality of paintwork at dealerships is a real crapshoot. (To fix it properly they'll have to strip and repaint the entire panel, fixing whatever defect underneath caused the paint to bubble up like that.)

I would pop one of the pimples, and see what's underneath. Hopefully not rust.

I’ve seen online where people pop theirs but they were soft pimples. These are hard almost as if there’s a speck of sand under it.

If there is dirt under the paint that's a manufacturing defect and should be corrected by the dealer.

What are all those black spots around it? Tar? Dirt? Was it there at the time of delivery?

Just dust/dirt. And no they weren’t there at delivery. They are starting to show up randomly in different spots.

Every now and again, I think I've seen it all - and every time, Honda defects / design proves me wrong.

I hope that the car is not rusting - Go to the dealer and see if they can fix this UNDER WARRANTY

(BUT Beware! Honda dealers are some of the worst people on the planet - they love saying things no sane human is able to say with a straight face. like "It's just regular wear and tear" - what they tell costumers with low compression if it's at least 85% of other cylinders / costumers with an oil pan full of petrol, "it's normal" - what they tell to costumers with stuttering transmissions, "it's not covered under warranty" - the same way the can tell you fuel injectors aren't part of the powertrain, they can argue about paint and bodywork.)

As Chuck said - dealership paint/bodywork is usually terrible - but if it's under warranty, then I'd still go and see what they can offer. If you're not satisfied - just go and get it fixed elsewhere.

I'm unsure if they is a sign of corrosion, but I defiantly wouldn't touch the pimple on my own - if you do that the dealer will most likely tell you it's a rock chip and that it's not their fault.
