2022 is just around the corner. I know this is a little far ahead but do you think any of the cars upcoming for 2023 are going to any good:
2023 Nissan Z
2023 Subaru Solterra (Electric Vehicle)
Or will they just the same like other vehicles from the same manufacturer?
2023 Subaru Solterra is a full EV engineered by Toyota which should be interesting since Subaru and Toyota have a relationship going for their sports cars and EVs. 2023 Nissan Z is one I am super excited about because I wasn't the biggest fan of the 370z, it was reliable, but it didn't look as good as the new Z, 350z, older Z cars, and the Infiniti G Coupe. The twin-turbo v6 in the new Z is the same one from the Q50/Q60 RS 400 and it's proven to be a pretty good and dependable engine in its 5 years since it came out and it makes good power. I think it will dethrone the Supra with its better styling IMO (I think the Supra is overstyled and it doesn't feel very Japanese being a BMW underneath it), lower price, value for money, and most importantly a manual transmission. After Carlos Ghosn left Nissan, Nissan has been listening and they have been going back to their roots and catering to enthusiasts and building better vehicles that are of better quality than the 2010s Nissans which went downhill and drove worse than the older Nissans when Carlos Ghosn was setting these unrealistic sales goals and giving massive incentives for every Nissan car sold which drove them to the point of making no profit in 2019 and a company that produced mostly low-quality cars. I predict the new z will be a halo car, like the R8 was for Audi as a way to bring people back to the brand and they want to see Nissan as desirable as supposed to something you rent every day from enterprise when they run out of Chevys.
Meh....nothing seems interesting to me.
The new Z is cool if you are into that kind of thing, but I'm sure the prices will be higher than anticipated.
I turn my back on new and upcoming cars in general; don't want the cost, the complexity, or the built-in spyware. I may well never even own a car built this century.
New cars? No way. I'm still looking for a nice late 80s 4x4 pickup. The only thing I'm interested in is PS, PB and AC. Nothing else.
