Hi Scotty,

I started following you on youtube channel after I started doing maintenance on my own car about 1 year ago.  I was looking for used cars and I noticed that there are 2017 Ford C-Max that are sold for about $12,000 with about 20,000 - 30,000 miles. Have you worked on these cars before? What are some of your experiences with them? Any insights would be great thanks.  Here in LA Toyota and Honda used cars don't depreciates as quickly and Ford seems to be about half the original value with 2-3 years.

Thanks so much!

Scotty is not awake at 1:30 in the morning our time so you got me. I think this an awful car to buy. If going to buy a ford buy a truck or and SUV they've basically given up on making cars except for the mustang and Hybrid cars in general cost a fortune to repair when they eventually break down around 100k miles.

"Here in LA Toyota and Honda used cars don't depreciates as quickly and Ford seems to be about half the original value with 2-3 years." That's because they last 5x or more longer than this car.

This is what I found for >12,000 thats 100x better than a ford hybrid in your area: https://www.autotempest.com/results?make=honda&zip=90210&maxyear=2016&maxprice=12000&maxmiles=50000

Thank you for the insight! I was looking to buy fairly newer used cars but I might check out some of the older toyotas and hondas. I figured I asked since the hybrids don't come with those ecoboost engines that Scotty always commented about being the main factor for wearing out too quickly.
