Brake cylinder leak

When I was changing my drum brake, I accidentally turned on the car before putting the brake shoe on and pressed the brake pedal (my mistake), which caused the cylinder to leak. Now, after putting it back together, the brake feels spongy. Is the problem just due to brake fluid leaking? Should I flush the brake fluid, and if so, should I do it for just that wheel or all four tires? This is for a 2007 Chevy Cobalt LT.

You must have gotten air in the brake line. Bleed the brakes. You may need a bidirectional scan tool for the ABS.

what do you mean by bidirectional?

A scan tool that is sufficiently sophisticated to command the car's modules to manipulate computer-controlled hardware, such as setting the ABS solenoids for bleeding mode. In some cases the ABS pump is also activated to pump brake fluid. Typical inexpensive consumer-grade scan tools do not have this capability. Use of an appropriate scan tool is a requirement of many ABS systems in order to bleed them properly.

However, depending on the specific ABS system this might or might not be necessary. I've found on my own daily driver that as long as there is no air in the ABS module itself a scan tool is not required for bleeding the brakes.
