Hi Scotty,
I have a 2020 Corolla LE, 1.8 L with 53k miles. I hadn't cleaned the injectors since I got the car with 39k miles on it, so decided to pour a 10 oz bottle of the Techron fuel cleaner in a near empty tank (remaining mileage said 10 miles at 25 mpg, so probably about 0.5 gallons left in the car) and filled it up. I drove about 80 miles and I feel like my acceleration is smoother, but I had an odd vibration when I was idling at a stop light. I was stopped for at least 10 seconds, when suddenly the car just started bouncing up and down for about 5 - 10 seconds and then it went away. I know you said as vehicles age the computers adjust for carbon buildup and such. Do you think the vibrations are just a byproduct of the cleaner getting the gunk out of the system and perhaps causing some kind of intermittent misfire to where the computer had to recompense? Thanks.
If it did not happen again, I would not worry about it.
Sounds like the Techron dislodged a piece of junk that temporarily clogged an injector then cleared.
