Is it time to get rid of our 2011 Avalon?

Scotty, my wife has a 2011 Toyota Avalon she purchased new. The car has 115,000 miles.  It has been serviced per factory recommendations every 5,000 miles and received 100,000 mile service when it reached that mileage. Car always kept in garage, looks great, drives and rides great. We are elderly people and live in a remote area with closest town 60 miles distant. We are concerned, due to miles on car that perhaps because of dependability issues, we should get a newer car. We love the car and really don't want to trade. What do you think?

Keep it, sir. Or sell it to me.😊Having properly maintained, serviced and garage-kept your Avalon, it should be good for another 115,000 miles and more. Plus this model, as you mentioned, drives and rides great and also has good visibility out of the windows. Beginning in 2013 Toyota changed the body style and the ride became much firmer and visibility decreased due to a sloping window design.
The engine and transmission are very dependable when properly maintained as you have done.
My 2004 Avalon has 165k miles and I am hoping to reach 300k. The engine and transmission are still operating smoothly and have never had any fluid leak or consumed oil. At each 5,000 mile oil change, the oil level is exactly at the maximum fill line on the dipstick just as it was when last changed.
The only out of ordinary repair that I have done is to replace the window tint due to it beginning to peel and replacing the headlight assembly on both sides due to cloudiness from oxidation. I only wish that I was able to keep mine in a garage as you have.

How many miles do you drive every year?  At 115,000 miles and well maintained its whole life, you know exactly what you have and it’s treated you well obviously.   Keep it!   You will be disappointed with all new cars these day.  They are all more complex (and more things to go wrong) than your vehicle.
