Chevy Cruze Idle Jerk

Hello, I have a 2013 Chevy Cruze 1.8 with auto transmission and 83K miles.

When the car is warmed up and the idle speed is lower (around 600-700 RPM) while sitting at red lights the car jerks as if someone is constantly bumping into the car. The jerking goes away if I put it in neutral or park. I have no acceleration issues. Car does not stall and RPM stays constant. No Check Engine Light.

I changes the spark plugs earlier this year and have found that possible issues could be bad motor mounts or ignition coils. But Since my RPM stays constant I don't know how it would be related to ignition or fuel.

What could be the cause of this? Thanks.

This is a common problem for the Cruze. You most likely have a vacuum leak related to the bad PCV design. Plug in your obd2 and watch your fuel trims. Also, if you take the valve cover off if you feel air pushing out the diaphram you likely need a new valve cover. There is a kit you can get that fixes this issue on Cruze kits.com as the stock PCV check valves are very badly designed and you will likely encounter this problem again.

Thanks for the response.

I know this is a design flaw on the 1.4 Turbo models but not the 1.8. Also, if it was a vacuum leak wouldn't my idle Speed be higher or lower or at least I would notice it go up and down?
