- Hey Scotty, I have a 2006 Honda Civic manual 196k miles. Bought it 2 years ago it burns a little oil between changes. Anyway my question is the engine has a tick possibly the valves, would it be worth $180 to have the valves adjusted at the local Honda dealer service shop. Or could there be underlying issues with it?

Well they need adjusting on Hondas anyways you might as well have them adjusted and call around many guys will do a cheaper than that
