Cleaning O2 sensors

Hey Scotty, I'm getting my '93 Mitsubishi 3000GT ready for smog testing. Besides all of the usual stuff we do, such as a tune-up, oil change, and running some fuel system cleaner through the system. Do you think cleaning the O2 sensor will make any difference? The one in the car has about 38K miles on it. It is working properly and not throwing any error codes. Just wondering if it would read more accurately if it was cleaned.

No, just leave them alone if everything is working fine.

I wouldn't bother if everything is working as it should.

If you're nervous about passing there's this stuff called "gtpe" or guaranteed to pass emissions. Say you still fail, they refund 100% of the cost you paid as long as you send in a copy of the receipt & your fail slip.
