scotty is an 2014 hyundai accent worth a used $1000 engine + $2500 lab + fluids worth repairing? and does $2500 really make sense as a labour charge? seems way too much to me...this is all canadian funds. My advice was she should just get a 5-$6000 civic or corolla while she rebuilds her less than perfect credit rating. We really dont know what is the best course of action here...which temp good resale car would YOU personally suggest!!! Thank you so very much for your help!!! love love love your channel and i hold your opinions in very high value!!! please reply if you can find a minute!!!! anyone elses opinion would also be great apppreciated!!!! Sincerely. TK!

One of the guys totally ripping you off most guys charge a thousand bucks or something to put an engine and not 2500 plus it's a used engine you have no idea if it's any good. I know how it works there in Canada but here in the states many junk yards will sell and install engines at a much lower price.

even tho Scotty answered for fun I just check a few prices guidelines for that car and install rates are 750 to 1000. Average price is 120 pre hour and average 8 hours. 960 is the most common price for this car.

Nothing about these prices makes sense, go elsewhere.

Ideally, it should be $1,500 total with a warranty on the engine.

She already was screwed over once when she got a Hyundai with GDi - I know it's the only option on the Accent in North America, but in the rest of the world, the "Solaris" (Best selling car in Russia, ) has a solid Gamma MPi or a very durable Kappa MPi.
