Gearshifter shakes when braking in first gear

Skoda Octavia 2014, 60000 miles, manual.

I have a manual transmission that works mostly fine but sometimes when braking to stop on first gear and clutch in, the gearshifter starts to shake. To get reverse, the shifter has to be pressed down and set to first gear position, which also becomes difficult sometimes (cold start). Can it be bad brake fluid, gear oil?

Thanks guys!

Check your engine mounts and transmission mounting points. They could be rotted and separating.

you were right, it makes it worse jacking up the car from the subframe bush (lower engine mount). thanks for your advice
