Hey Scotty I have a 2001 Buick LeSabre with 145,000 Miles Automatic Transmission it sat for 2 years before I bought it for 1400 from an elderly couple. It had a slight whirring noise when I checked it out but I paid no mind to it being it sat for so long and they had the entire history of maintenance on the car I got its oil changed right away due to it sitting and It ran smooth for about 5 days, until the car would not drive when shifted to drive. It would only drive on 2nd gear but no one wants to drive at 4500 rpm in a town vehicle. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

The 22-year-old transmission could be shot. Check fluid level and condition. If you're very lucky it might just be a hinky shift solenoid but you'll need a pro with a high-level scan tool to check it out for you.
