I make a little Youtube video on this. My idea is to basically bring back the Crown Vic, Ford Ranger and Grumman LLV for government and commercial fleet sales. Watch the video. Tell me what you think. I will leave a link to the video.

Call up Elon Musk and see if he'll invest in it.
Eventually electric will die off. Its a new idea. Probably won't work long term etc.
I disagree. Not every American can afford an electric car, nor can they afford to maintain one. That’s sort of the reason this website exists. The government is really no different. Government vehicles are work vehicles. The government wants something that is going to be reliable and long lasting. The same notion goes for private businesses that require fleet vehicles. Combustion engines aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Diesel trucks are the life line of America. That alone draws a line in the sand. The whole electric car thing is a fad and old Crown Vics and Rangers will be cruising around when these cars are sitting in the junk yards because people can’t afford to have them repaired. Just look at the Grumman LLV(mail truck) for example the last year they were made was 1994, but still USPS still uses them in 2022. Same thing with Rangers and Crown Vics. They’re still in use today. Lastly, Americans think inside the box too much. Did you every think that other countries that could care less about emissions would be interested in vehicles like this? Yes, especially when it they would cost 3/4 or less the cost of everything else out there.
@humbledbychaos
Electrics and hybrids are flying off shelves right now. As long as gas prices remain high, these cars aren't going anywhere.
When people think "government" a lot of people immediately think Washington DC and multi-millionaire politicians. The reality is there are 20 million government employees and a large majority of those employees and the departments they work for are underfunded which hints why don't see very many of them driving electrics or hybrids. They can't afford them. A lot of them can't afford new vehicles period. That's why you still see Crown Vics and Rangers used by the government. Beyond the government there are private businesses like USPS which are still using Grumman LLV mail trucks that are from 1994 and older. Longevity, reliability and affordability is what will stamp out any government buyout and nullify and "permanent contract" ever written for companies that are notorious known for making unreliable cars to begin with. The problem is that there is no one doing this. Imagine a company that made these cars. Even just a few prototypes of each kind. Someone higher up in charge of a budget would be looking into this especially if these vehicles could be sold for 3/4 or even half the price of the competitors. Lastly, poverty is only increasing in the US because of rising fuel cost and overall inflation. This means at this point only the wealthy care about "going green" anymore. Our fearless leader has an approval rating of 33%. Retrogression is coming. And with that, I will propose my idea to a conservative leader that actually cares about what happens to America and all the people that reside here and you might just magically see these cars start appearing where you live.
"Electrics and hybrids are flying off shelves right now."
You know the old saying, there's a sucker born every minute, and two to take him. The idea of spending $40,000, $50,000, $60,000 - or more - on an electric car to save money on gas doesn't compute.
The news out today is that Biden wants a network of EV charging station every 50 miles. Who's going to pay for that, the 99.9% of people who don't drive electric cars? Or want them?
Talk about politicians not living in the real world!
If I understand your video correctly I wish you luck if you are trying to get the Fed agencies to invest in any of the vehicles you just mentioned. The federal government owns all 3 vehicle manufacturers and they basically have permanent contracts for them to supply all of the GOVs for every corrupt agency and disgusting branch it has.
