I rewired my entire 85 Toyota, stuck at ignition switch

So I have disability that makes me impulsive and I decided that I was going to rewire my 85 pickup on my own. And that's perfectly fine all the way up until I get to this ignition switch and I am lost as hell there's a few basic fundamentals that I don't quite understand. And I realize it's a stupid question, but the AM1 AM2 ON and START, I know the alternator takes over the electronics mostly but that throws me off because I don't know which direction the power is going exactly is the ignition switch powering on the alternator or is the alternator power in Honda ignition switch which I think I can almost understand except for one tiny detail, how does the ignition switch go to the ignition coil module to the alternator and then back to the ignition switch is that how it works? I got the three wire alternator so finally after forever understood why and how the charging system works but then you throw in the ignition switch and I finally realized that that part is out of my league. And I know that I'm doing this and thinking about this in a very much more complicated way than it needs to be considering I rewire the entire truck I can do it how I want I just don't know how to do it and have everything function the way it should with the emissions control module. Oh and I live in California adding in an extra curveball.... Basically I need to know the order of operations and I can't get Toyota on the line or at least I can't get them to answer the questions because they never call me back about it, and every YouTube video I watched leave me with one really dumb question that makes me lose sight of the whole thing.

This diagram is on Page 1016 of the Repair Manual.

Here's the link to the PDF:

Wow, thank you! I can't wait to try it, things changed but at least I got to keep the truck. But what really hung me up was the voltage and currenti needed to supply to the igniter. I had to abandon it for the time being. And what threw me off was this "ballast resistor"? I was relying too heavily on videos on YouTube. So I didn't know exactly where I was coming or going but even my AutoZone Toyota guy was saying just give it the voltage. So I'm still not sure if it needs to have a lower voltage than 12 volts and if it is being supplied the voltage from two directions. Does any of that sound right, familiar, plausible? Or insane? Also ive learned a whole hell of a lot more since working on a '01 Ford e-150, but that lil bit still confuses me.

Oh! And my dumbass was working 18 hours a day for so long that i forgot insulation doesnt just protect an electrical connection, it can also block it... Like where my engine to chassis ground was... Yeah. That was super finding out that I did that. So if i can kust give my coil 12v then i can start it today! I did also but an Accell ignition coil since then.

You need to get an accurate wiring diagram for your specific vehicle.
