I have a 2014 Lexus GS350 F Sport AWD with 124K miles. Whenever the vehicle sits overnight, the steering wheel shakes above 60MPH. It only does it for a few miles, then it is as smooth as silk. What could cause this? No steering or suspension components are broken and I’m running Continental PureContact LS tires.
are all your tires inflated to the correct pressure? (specified on your door sticker)
Are your tires aged or cracked?
Do you live in a cold climate?
Tires are all inflated to correct spec, only 14 months old and no abnormal wear. I do live in Minnesota, but it vibrates whether it’s cold or hot out.
only 14 months old
they might have sat on the shelf before you bought them though. You need to check the manufacturing date stamp.

Wouldn’t that cause a vibration at high speeds all the time? It only does it for maybe a few miles, then it rides as smooth as glass.
nope
They were manufactured in the 18th week of 2022, so not an excessive amount of time at all before I bought them.
I’m willing to overlook it, since it only does it for a very short periods of time and then it goes away. Sometimes, it won’t do it at all. I just wanted to confirm that it is probably a tire issue.
try rotating them and see if the shake goes away
I did. It still remains. They are all road force balanced and are spot on.
Yes.
you could try jacking up the front of the vehicle after it has sat. Put transmission in neutral , rotate the wheels by hand, and feel for anything abnormal/uneven.
