Needing advice and your expertise. I overpaid for a 2008 nissan xterra sport utility v6 68,000 miles from an individual. Immediately started leaking antifreeze from passenger inside and outside. The heater works, and needs an o2 sensor, and I also had to replace the battery within a couple days. The seller said there's no way he could have known, that he just had the coolant hoses etc serviced and flushed. Said to take it to the same shop (his buddys) and he would take care of it. Took it there next few days and they said heatercore, $1000. The seller then changed his mind, and said there's nothing he can do, there's nothing I can do, because hes.not reliable legally. I found out he works at a dealership, has plenty of money a d has lawyers and firm in his family 😭🤮🥵😡Im a single mother of 2, struggling health wise and financially, not much support. We needed a vehicle pretty desperately and I had been holding onto my income taxes.. Any information, advice please and thank u.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I can only advise you from technical point of view. Take the car to a honest mechanic and ask him to check it for you. You may only have some loose connections for the heater core and he can fix them much cheaper than replacing the heater core. Ask around to find a good mechanic.

In most states there are laws to protect the consumer. If this was a private sale, As Is Law prevails. If it was financed through the dealership or car lot, then you have the law on your side, because they must abide by State vehicle sales laws.  Most require some written warranty to repair with a certain amount of miles or time.  If you are afraid of his lawyers, take him to Small Claims court, just like Peoples Court.  You can sue up to $5000 in most States.  Good Luck!
