New shocks in 98 Amigo feel like worn out ones

I recently replaced the shocks in my 98 Isuzu Amigo with 4x4 and 3.2 V6, that I purchased with 240K miles, with KYB gas mono tube shocks in all four corners.
To my dismay the shocks, albeit a little bit better than perhaps the never replaced old units, still fell as worn out shocks, with extra rebounds every time I go over speed bumps and road imperfections.

The shocks were supposed to be top of the line, at least for this Japanese brand, but certainly feel old and worn out.

I am wondering if this is the best I can expect on this vehicle and is the way they ride, or otherwise I need to get other units; and if so: which ones, since there are not many options for this old SUV out there?

Based on the vehicle's age, mileage and parts availability you should just live with it. Those things had a bouncy ride when they were new as I recall.

Thank you!

Given the fact that they have not been around here for a while I will try to find what is available for its European versions: Open and Vauxhall Frontera models. I am thinking that perhaps Bilstein shocks, Rancho or Koni shocks.

The rough ride I can live with. The two to three rebound bouncing is something that really bothers me.

Your welcome, good luck. I don't have a recommendation on shock brands for "Joe Isuzu". They had some funny TV commercials back in the day.
