Hey Scotty, I have a 2015 Jeep Patriot High Altitude 4x4 with the 2.4L and a automatic transmission, its not the CVT. It has 111,000 miles on it and believe it or not has never gave me any major issues. My question is where is the transmission dipstick? I can’t find it and I believe that there isn’t one. I try to keep up on all the maintenance and im worried about the transmission fluid needing to be changed. How can I change the fluid in this thing and why isn’t there a dipstick so I can at least check the fluid? Have you seen this before?
If there is no dipstick there is a procedure for checking fluid level at the fill plug. The fill plug is usually accessed from under the vehicle, which has to be level and the fluid at a specified temperature when checking.
If not a CVT and fluid has not been serviced in over 100,000 miles it may be too late. See the site FAQ for details.

It's the Hyundai 6 speed (Hyundai Transys A6MF1)
Solid tranny but it absolutely requires frequent transmission fluid replacements to avoid problems as it ages.

Yes, Fiat-Chrysler removed the dipstick form these transmissions.
The way to perform service on these is the same one as new Hyundai's.
Pretty simple to service but not friendly for those interested in just checking on the fluid.

How many times was the fluid replaced?
Ideally you'd want to replace it every 30k-40k or there about.
why isn’t there a dipstick
Chrysler chose to remove it. The fluid on these gets dark very fast.
The owner's manual calls for it to be replaced at first at 120k miles (under some conditions)
but it's best to replace it already and keep replacing it frequently if you want it to last.
It's a bit of a risk of this millage but it's not like you have much alternatives.
