Oil change accident

Couple days back, i did my first oil change on my car, however I spilled a good amount of oil into the engine bay by accident(poured too fast lol) I cleaned up most of it with soapy water and it started smoking when idling the car( just started it for 20-30 seconds) so I thought it probably got on the exhaust manifold, checked under the car and saw there was still oil stains on the heat shield and pipe, so I soapy watered and cleaned that up as well. So finally I’m at the stage where there’s no more smoke when idling for 30 minutes. However when i ram it up to 3000rpm or go for a drive around the block theres smoke again, I’m not sure what to do now. It’s a Honda Pilot 07 help plz .

Just let it burn off. Eventually it will go away for good.

Did you make sure you put the little washer on the drain plug back? Check for leaks around your oil filter , drain plug and oil fill cap. Also is your oil level staying ok on the dipstick? Did you check make sure the old gasket from previous oil filter was still on the old filter when you removed it? If it stayed stuck to the block then your gonna leak oil around the filter. Also did you smear a thin layer of oil onto the gasket of the new filter? It helps it seal and tighten better when you tighten It by hand only, and makes it easier to remove later.
