I have a 2004 Mazda MPV 6 cylinder. When I exit the drivers seat leaving the engine running I get a P0174 code. This is the only time that this code appears. There is no noticeable change in engine performance. Is this a critical situation?

P0174 means your vehicle is running too lean on Bank 2. You either are getting too much air or not enough fuel.
Check for vacuum leaks.
