Hello, My car has engine light on with P0420 for 3 years, and recently, it’s restricted to accelerate; especially when going up the hill ( the maximum it can go is about 25mph). Does it have a problem with the Cat only? Any advice please? I saw your video how to clean up the cat. But, why my car is reduced acceleration??

When converters start to come apart inside they can restrict exhaust flow. Which would cause backup pressure and very poor engine performance. You can get a mechanic to look at it and see if that is what’s happening. If you don’t live in a state that requires emissions testing you can get a direct fit catalytic converter aftermarket for about 200 bucks and install it yourself usually.

As @thumpy said, your cat is getting clogged up.
