Hey Scotty. I keep seeing ads on Facebook for Rocket Chip and Innovative Performance Chips. Both claim to add about 35hp and increase mileage 4-6mpg. They claim to do it by adjusting the air to fuel ratio and timing. There are several comments on both of people claiming they work, but I don’t know if they are real. Do these work? I have a 2015 F-250 with a 6.2 and am interested in this if these work. Thanks.

Why would you believe anything you see in that cesspool? With manufacturers scrambling for the tiniest improvement they can manage to meet fuel mileage requirements don't you think if it were that simple to increase efficiency they would already be doing it? Pretty obvious scam that doesn't pass even the most cursory smell test.
But, you don't have to take my word for it. Do an internet search for "rocket chip scam" and "innovative performance chips scam" and you'll see for yourself.
. They claim to do it by adjusting the air to fuel ratio and timing.
14.7:1 parts air to one part fuel is stochiometric (if you're not familiar with chemistry, air and fuel combine perfectly at the stochiometric ratio, no excess air or fuel). Your engine already runs at the stochiometric ratio once fully warmed up by default, unless you're putting the engine under a considerable load (moving a load up a hill in lower gear is an example), then the car's PCM has a built-in fuel trim map for what it's supposed to do under differing scenarios. With the scenario I just described, the engine will inject slightly more gas than the stochiometric ratio (termed running rich) to help cool the engine down. If you run your engine with too little gas (termed running lean) you will increase the catalytic converter's work. Running lean produces a higher temperature burn, producing NOx emissions. The catalytic converter takes care of this.
The claim of adjusting timing is also useless. The truck already has timing set from the factory to be in its sweet spot. If your engine's timing is too early, the engine will knock, and, if the timing is too late, still-burning fuel will be pumped out of the cylinder and eventually wrecking your catalytic converter in the process. Your MPG would also plummet. Both of those aren't happening.

That truck probably averages around 14-15 MPG on the highway. The claimed increase in MPG is almost 33% greater range. The mechanical engineers who designed your truck were already paid to squeeze every last drop of range out of a tank of gas in the truck; to think they messed up to the tune of 33% is insane.
All it is, is a scam.
100% Snake oil scam

Rocket Chip is just a plastic box with blinky lights. Does nothing.
