pinging issue

hey friends, i drive a 2008 chevy colorado,   i-4 with automatic trans, 68k miles on the odometer. the last year or so i’ve been chasing a audible pinging issue which i can’t get to the bottom of since i get no cel or codes. all i can see is that engine runs slightly lean with computer adding +- 7% to compensate which shouldn’t be a big issue (right?) around a year ago (18k miles ago) i replaced spark plugs hoping they were just old or something and when i did i gapped them, which i recently learned that you’re not supposed to gap iridium plugs since they are fragile. i replaced them again a few days ago since i thought a jacked them up, but i’ve noticed no change in performance or pinging. while i have these semi old ones out i was wanting to see if y’all can notice anything about them that should catch my attention.

if better images are needed i can post them as well. as far as ping issue i’ve been countering with 93 octane fuel. next i’m gonna replace the knock sensor in hopes it’s part of the issue

edit:

new images here. couldn’t tell you which cylinders they came out of sorry

It may well be. There are ways to test those, but seeing as how a "GM Genuine" knock sensor is only about $10 from rockauto.com and the vehicle is 16 years old it seems like a good idea to just replace the thing. (Always use OEM sensors whenever possible.) Also be sure to examine the connector and wiring for corrosion, fraying, or other issues.
