You need to change the transmission oil in 3 steps.

Firstly you need to get 2ltr. Oil out of it and put 2ltr. New oil and drive it fr a week

And then repeat the process after a week and drive for another week

After you’ve changed the oil in 2 installments of 2ltr. each time now you will have to change the complete oil and replace the filter

And after you’ve changed the oil completely you will have to becareful while driving for atleast 10 days

The maximum speed you can drive is 90-100

@yusuf-shariq can you copy and paste your answer into the ‘Your Answer’ section down below? Thank you.

Are you the original owner of this car?  Do you not drive it hard?  Is the transmission performing well?  If you answer yes to these questions, then I would say yes you should change it.  I just changed the automatic transmission fluid in my daughters 2013 Toyota Prius with 86,000 miles on it and it is doing great.  I should have probably done it 10k or 20k sooner but time gets away from all of us.   If you answered no to those first few questions, I would say changing it with over 100K miles is probably not going to help the transmission last any longer.  Hope this helps.

Change it and the filter, do not flush.  Hope for the best.

I am in a similar situation. Purchased an 2007 toyota highlander with 103000 miles on it. Single owner and the transmission seems to shift fine, no slipping or jerks. I am planning to get the oil drained and the filter changed. Can't guarantee that the car was driven gently, though :/

I would say if it seems to shift fine you are probably ok to change the fluid but as Scotty and others have said, DO NOT FLUSH the transmission fluid. Just drain and refill and if possible change the filter. The only other thing I would do is look at the condition of the fluid. If it is pink or brownish red at all you should be safe. If it is very dark or smells "burnt" it may not be a good idea. Odds are if it seems to shift fine and doesn't slip, you should be safe to change the fluid. Hope this helps.

Thank you @Kansas_Shade_Tree, will keep that in mind.

Change it (and the filter) & keep the old fluid in a CLEAN jug.

If you start to notice problems, drain the fluid & replace it with the old.
