I just got a toyota highlander 2022 Saturday or Sunday on my way home Tuesday night the light engine comes on and it says go see your dealership. I went there then they told me the purge valve needs to be replaced. How could this happen for a brand new car?? Maybe the car wasn't new. I don't know what to think? What's going to happen in 2, 3, 4 years?

Although Toyotas are better than most, any new car can have defects. That's why there's a warranty.

What exactly was the problem? Bad valve? Something happen upstream?
