Hi Scotty,
I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma and I was wondering if you know what's the best plastic protection that I can use for my bed to avoid it from getting damaged due to the suns rays. I was thinking of using that 303 stuff. Do you think it is any good?
Thanks,
Rene C.
The plastic liner there to take all the abuse so the paint doesn't get scratched, which is there to protect the metal from rusting... on your vehicle which was designed for hauling.
And you want a protector for your protector for your protector, so that the bed on your truck always looks shiny. :silly:
what about a toneau cover?
The bed liner is supposed to be sacrificial in the first place. From my experience, they protect tthe metal parts of the bed from dents and scratches, but they also trap moisture and can lead to faster rusting. Why bother?
Sure - why not spend a couple of grand protecting the protection? Why not just get a big condom and put it over your truck?
I just throwing this out there, because I in search of something similar. I heard mineral oil or baby oil may be a good UV protectant. I’m not sure though. Haven’t tried it.
that sounds like it would make it worse. People used to slather themselves in oil to get a tan because it reflects less sun
Quite possibly
