When is a good time to replace VVT solenoid to ensure good maintenance?

Its not absolutely necessary to replace the VVT solenoid before it starts acting up but if you want you can preemptively replace it around 120,000 miles. Sensors generally start to go around that mileage - some earlier some later but at least if you do it around 120,000 miles and the original part lasted that long you know the car will probably be junk by the time the next one goes bad.
