Soooo I let a non-certified mechanic work on my pathfinder what a bonehead move I needed it looked at and I was stupid after said person took it apart and cleaned maf sensor throttle body IAC valve I have loss of power when it comes up to operating temp. I am not able to work and provide income because my pathfinder was my only way to work i am in dire need of help with this one. Advice it’s a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder SE 3.5l V6 rolled off the assembly line in Japan

Get it scanned for codes and let us know.

What was the reason for having him work on it? In any event, I would start out by looking everything over carefully to see if any connectors are loose, hoses disconnected or loose/cracked or pinched. Additionally, I would clean the MAF sensor myself with MAF sensor cleaner. He may have sprayed it with something else that leaves residue. Good luck.

and make sure your air inlet tube between the MAF sensor and throttle body is tight and no air is intruding

Trust me I’m going to let someone that knows what they’re doing from now on work on the truck. Also I know throttle body cleaner can cause a residue the person that worked on it is an idiot and imma bigger idiot for trusting someone.

I mean the the chance it’s the throttle body and the idle air control valve that air is getting in from that area is super high because I had 0 throttle response even in neutral and park that’s making me think it’s in that area.
