| 2011 Jeep Liberty vs 2015 Nissan Frontier | 15Relevance | 5 years ago | Masterchief007 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey Scotty I love watching you and listening to your advice! My question is this. I am looking at a 2011 Jeep Liberty 4x4 with 107000 miles on it. I also have been looking at a Nissan frontier 4x4, both are at a used car dealer. The Nissan is a 2015 with 45 thousand miles on it. What one would you recommend? The Jeep is 8 thousand dollars and the Nissan is 23 thousand five hundred. How good are the frames on the Nissans? | |||||

| Ugh! I have whiplash from my 2020 Nissan Frontier 🙁 | 15Relevance | 5 years ago | DocBob | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi Scotty LOVE your Channel!! 🙂 Over a year ago, I bought a brand new 2020 Nissan frontier. Largely for its price and history of reliability. My beef! The new 9 gear transmission freaking sucks!!! The first 3 gears are horrible! I now have whiplash in my neck from the number of times the gears downshift and smash into a lower gear after a significant hesitation. I feel bad for anyone with this transmission who might get stuck in traffic. The hunting gears at lower speeds is absolutely unacceptable. I wish I had driven this car for a week before pur ... | |||||

| Hello, I have a 2WD 2000 Nissan XE frontier Crew Cab 3.3L V6, 5-Speed Manual Transmission, w/ around 230,000miles. It has a check engine light I've been trying to get rid of, scanner reads P0120 as the only code, and whenever its is put into gear (1st/2nd/Reverse) it revs itself up like by like 300rpm (1100-1250rpm). The car idles fairly smooth around 800-900rpm but only revs itself up when you put it into gear. I've replaced the Throttle Position Sensor, Mass Air Flow Sensor, and cleaned the Throttle Body but the code always comes back, pretty quick too. Th ... | |||||
| 2014 Nissan Frontier intermittent transmission problem... | 15Relevance | 5 years ago | artgsc | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| My 2014 Nissan frontier S (4 cyl. AT) has about 76,000 miles on it. I bought it used with about 43,000 miles on it and I am the second owner. Have had no problems until recently. Twice in the last 500 miles or so of travel the transmission started shifting both up and down with a pronounced jolt each shift. Park at home for a few hours and it goes back to shifting like new. AT fluid shows on the dipstick to be clean and at correct level. Scan using an Actron CP9180 shows no codes. Truck has never been used hard or towed anything. I dread taking it to a deale ... | |||||

| I think you would be thrilled with a Nissan frontier. I had a 2007 for 10 years 240,000 mi. Still looked like a new one on outside. No repair problems whatsoever, fluid changes serpentine belt battery an of course tires an breaks. Was the best pickup I have ever had. Only cons were ride comfort an turning raduis wasn't very good hard to park in reverse. | |||||

| Realize if the previous owner did not fix that issue, what other items (maintenance/service) were they NOT on top of? It makes you wonder. Those already were not good years for the frontier, you don’t need more issues on top of that. | |||||

| ... If those things look good, you should be fine. I posted a list elsewhere, but stealing this one from a frontier forum. Check the radiator part number on the one you're looking at against these: 21410-EA200 [seldom referenced, but may have been installed in some very early 2005’s.] 21410-EA205 [2005 – either 2/09 or 8/09. Listed on some parts websites as P/N 21460-EA205. There is some confusion as to when these were used. Some literature states until 2/09 and other literature states 8/09. P/N IS ASSOCIATED WITH SMOD. ] 21460-EA215 [2005 - eithe ... | |||||

| Hey Scotty - I'm thinking of selling my old 98 Honda Civic and buying a 2012 or older Nissan frontier (because I can't afford a Tacoma). I'm hoping to find a 2 WD manual transmission, but don't know which motor to stay away from... the 4 cylinder or the 6 cylinder? What do you think? Thanks for your help! Fritzie | |||||
