Hi Scotty, I have a 2002 Toyota 4Runner 4X4 with automatic transmission and 285,000 miles. Original motor, transmission and owner. Recently I'm unable to switch into high speed 4 wheel drive, I don't hear the actuator engaging the front wheels but I have no problem switching to 4 wheel drive low gear. Please help. Thanks Joe.

Fuses would be the first thing I'd check. I believe the owner's manual lists possible conditions that might prevent you from engaging 4WD.
When is that last time you serviced the 4WD transfer case?
Inspected and tested all fuses under the hood and in the cabin compartment, all tested ok.
