2006 Chevorlet Imapala TMPS not reading and RPM problem

Hello,

I have a 2006 Chevrolet impala and recently I went to go get some new tires and TMPS Senors. The guy tries to reset the sensors and even the car to get them working but unfortunately, it still shows up that TMPS light in my car. He said to give it a few days to able to work again but I want this fixed now and why this is occurring. I also have this misfire but I'm sure if it considers one. The automatic transmission shifts perfectly on the first and second but it comes to third or fourth or I reach to at least 35-40 MPH, the RPM goes down fast to 1.5 to 1 RPM and I have to "floor" the pedal to reach to 2 RPM but if I let go the gas pedal it goes but to 1 RPM in between. I've talked with a few people and they that it could be low or bad on transmission fluid, spark plugs, misfire, or possibly another transmission problem. It doesn't show a check engine light but I k ow that this seems to be common in impala. I used a basic scanner and it read no codes. What could be the problem and how can I be able to resolve it?

-Thanks

How many miles does your car have on it? Those Impalas are somewhat notorious for having bad transmissions, but you could still get lucky. Check the transmission fluid (I think it's located on the top right of the engine) and have it changed, not flushed, if it doesn't smell burnt. I would just live with the TPMS issue. Best of luck!

I have not work on your car. But you need a scan tool to reset your tpms . The scan tool should be given u an error message for this?

For the other issue rpm could it be fuel problem check your fuel filter. Maybe have other mechanics check your fuel filter pressure
