2007 Honda Accord 4cyl auto trans 90000 miles. Since 50000 miles there is a slight vibration when you accelerate slowly around 60 mph and increases under load. My first thought is the torque converter. It occurs in drive and overdrive. Reading several forums are pointing the direction of wheel bearings or cv joint. The car has been properly maintained using S Kilmer suggestions. I’m going to sell the car and don’t want to dump a POS on an individual. I don’t want to replace parts needlessly. No wrecks, original owner;
When the tires were changed a few years ago there was no change even with tire rotation. When you release the accelerator the vibration stops. Vibration is felt in the seat and floor pan. No alignment has ever been done, no hard impacts have occurred. I haven’t checked any trans mount.
Right, start with checking all your engine & tranny mounts. Next, with your foot on the brake while parked, shift into D (with your foot still holding the car still) and check for any vibration/shudder. Please report back with both results.
When did you last have the car aligned & balanced all tyres?
Does the vibration stop if you shift it momentarily into neutral, at 60mph?
Is the steering wheel or the entire vehicle, vibrating?
