2012 Honda Fit, 128,000 miles, automatic

Hello Scotty,

I have a 2012 Honda Fit (128,000 miles) with an automatic transmission.  The car is snail slow and I would like to add a Sprintex supercharger ( https://sprintexusa.com/honda-fit-jazz/) to boost horsepower and performance.  Is this a good idea?  What are the downsides of adding the supercharger?

Not worth the time and money in my opinion. Look for a more performance oriented car if you want to be "zippy" and more powerful.

if done correctly by mechanic who knows how to reprogram the fuel injection system that can work perfectly fine but of course it strains an engine that is an older engine and it really strains the transmission now if your fit has an automatic transmission I would not do it but if it has a standard transmission go right ahead

Thank you Scotty. I will tackle the supercharger and standard transmission simultaneously. I really appreciate your advice and informative videos. Learning and laughing with your videos is the best content on You Tube.

After further study and contemplation (i.e. watching additional Scotty videos), it is clearly not worth converting the Fit form an automatic transmission to a manual.

Additionally, the turbo kits have been discontinued by two (2) separate manufacturers.  Problem solved and I will continue to drive the 2012 Honda Fit as the racing snail that it is.  Thanks again for the help.
