Dear Scotty,
I have 2016 equinox with about 125000 miles. Within the past 2 years I have been getting codes to replace the VVT solenoid. I have now replaced it twice. I change the oil regularly. Is this a symptom of a bigger problem or is it just another wonderful feature in the equinox?

Oh generous, just another wonderful feature in those crappy equinoxes. It shows that you probably have some kind of wear inside the transmission but as long as it shifts okay to live with it because basically those are throw away cars when the engines are trannies go out completely
