Hey there, I have a used 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport with ~3300 miles. I recently used a OBD Scanner from BlueDriver to check it out.
Its reporting I have two codes:
C1403/C1404 which is a "Malfunction in Rear Speed Sensor RH/LH Circuit"
I tried to look up the code on BlueDriver but their database was throwing errors, so a general search provided a link to what the sensor looked like but I have no idea how to go about servicing this. It looks simple enough that I could replace or clean it, so can anyone help me out digging up more information?
Appreciate it.
Well, … it’s a 2020, you say. I assume it is still under warranty. Trip to a dealer perhaps will suffice?
F.S.
Do not touch the vehicle if it is under warranty to avoid all the nonsense voided warranty.
It is under warranty, just seemed like something simple once I looked up how the sensor was mounted. Just annoys me there's zero free info on diagrams just so I can understand its role in the system itself.
I guess we're a long way from the days of comprehensive technical manuals available everywhere. Heard Toyota has a system you have to subscribe to just to get access to that data.
Thanks for the answers...
