What is causing my steering wheel vibrating on 19 4Runner mostly between 55-65mph?
I have done alignment, road force balanced the wheels, checked the air pressure but now I hear something called needle bearing is probably worn out. My wheels are not bent nor are the tires worn out unevenly. I run 265/70/17 Toyo OC ATIII tires.
I did add a Westcott leveling kit and that's all I've done to the suspension. I have added also a steel front bumper (no winch) and steel sliders. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I have a 2019 ORP and get a bit of that sometimes between 55 and 60 on certain road surfaces. It has been discussed a lot on the 4Runner forum. It seems to be the nature of the beast. Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum - Powered by vBulletin (toyota-4runner.org) I have Nitto Terra Grapplers on it and the vehicle is stock. A tire rotation seems to help sometimes but it mostly seems to happen on uneven or groovy road surfaces. 95% of the time I don't experience the vibration so I don't worry about it.
I have a 2019 SR5 Premium stock and it does this on random days. I've done all the research and have concluded it is just the nature of the beast as @greggraham said. I read that these 4Runners just seem super sensitive to tire balance. Also, when I experience it, it is only for about 5 minutes on the highway until the tires warm up, then it goes away. Again, it happens on random days and not everyday.
