85 Ramcharger Charging issue

Gents, This will be my first post/question. I've an 1985 Dodge Ramcharger (same as the d100 but suv)

The charging system isn't working. That's courtesy of a battery installed backwards and then an attemptive start (i know I don't wanna talk about it)

So now I've replaced the following (one by one) Voltage Regulator, Ballast, ECU, Starter Relay and Alternator. I've got no charge going to my battery still and I can't make heads or tails out of this. The truck will turn on without a problem but will not charge.

Anyone with some knowledge who can point me in the right direction? I'm all but considering a whole new harness as I fear I've burnt out a wire thruout the harness somehow.

well I trace the wires coming off the alternators you have to have power to the alternator from the battery power from the ignition and power to the igniter to excite the alternator you could always rewire it if wires have melt somewhere are one has no power when you run the vehicle you could always rewire power like run a wire from the ignition key power when it's on to the alternator if it needs to be excited

I'll have to consider doing just that! Thanks Scotty!

So now it's a RamDIScharger haaaaa, anyway..

you might have burned out the fusible link on the cable from the alternator to the battery.

Hahaha yes it's def not doing it's job at charging! That's a good suggestion as my ol' man said the same thing to me just the other day! Thanks for the input I'll get to checking.
