Changed spark plugs now misfire

I changed my spark plugs on my 2022 Kia k5 gt-line 1.6 four cylinder turbo. And a day later noticed a misfire after the car warmed up. I took the spark plugs out. Compared the gap of one of the old spark plugs to the new ones and set all the new ones to match and still have a misfire. What could I do? I have tightened down the ignition coil boots. The spark plugs are snug. Thought maybe the misfire could be due to bad gas because before I changed the spark plugs I filled the tank and then drove home to change the spark plugs.

I had this happen once.  4 new NGK plugs and it misfired badly.  I went through everything and finally checked continuity through the plug with a meter.  Two of the plugs had no continuity.  Must have been made on a Monday morning or a Friday afternoon.  Now, I always check for continuity before installing new plugs.  Lesson learned.

It's possible that one of the coils was damaged in the process of swapping out the plugs. Try to determine which cylinder is misfiring and swap coils to see if the misfire moves.

I am at a loss. At this point. There’s no codes. But you can clearly see the rpm gage jumping a little at idle. It’s not a bad miss but it’s noticeable.

A good scan tool will show you the misfire count by cylinder even if there have not been enough yet to trip the CEL

What codes did you see when you scanned it?

That’s the thing no codes are showing up. But the rpm gage is jumping a little.

You should be able to see misfire counts even if there are no codes set yet.

I changed my spark plugs on my 2022 Kia

Why? It's a year old

Maybe they're oil fouled already.

then I would hit them with a wire brush and some cleaner, and look for why they're fouling. Nothing a little Italian tune up can't fix. But better yet I would let Kia figure it out since it should be under warranty.

Because the owners manual said to change them at 48,000 miles. And it has 53,000 miles on it

holy smokes you are quite the driver.
That is a really short interval. I guess Kias are such bad oil burners that they have to recommend it.

My car does not burn a drop of oil

double check each plug was connected in the right order
Then visually confirm every plug for sparking (see FAQ - misfire)

The spark plugs weren’t really in need. I was just following the maintenance schedule

You're right. It's safest to follow manufacturer recommendation.

Compared the gap of one of the old spark plugs to the new ones and set all the new ones to match

Why?

New plugs are gapped correctly. Usually old ones are worn out, but how many miles/km was on them?

53,000 miles. I was following the maintenance schedule in the owners manual

Also I only checked the gap because after I put them in it was misfiring. So I checked the gap again and it’s still misfiring

did you put any kind of compound on the spark plug threads?

No

Did you put new origional OEM plugs back in? Sometimes that can make a difference. Don't use cheap plugs!!

That was the issue. I went to rock auto and ordered what they said was the right plugs. But they didn’t fit. Had to go to oreilleys and they had to do some digging to find some that would fit. I will probably see about the oem ones if nothing works.
