Hi, i have and older bmw 320d manual transmission with 155k miles on it.
I was looking at changing the manual transmission oil with the correct bmw fluid. It seems straight forward enough, drain plug, fill plug, add new fluid ..... but before i do, I am aware of the perils of changing old automatic transmission fluid would there be any issues with changing out 25 year old manual transmission fluid ......?

I just did this on an e30 last year. This was an easy job. Just replace it with synthetic and it will be good for another 25yrs.

For a manual or should be ok ... if it was an auto and has not been changed foe 25 years .. I would say dont touch it.
